Synopsis:
As old-timer cop George Dixon (Jack Warner) and rookie Andy Mitchell (Jimmy Hanley) go about their usual work, stick-up artist Tom Riley (Dirk Bogarde) throws a violent wrench in the works by robbing a local cinema and threatening the life of a young woman (Peggy Evans).
