Synopsis:
Henry St. James (Alec Guinness), the captain of a ferryboat between Gibraltar and North Africa, enjoys a double-life with double the wife. With settled housewife Maud (Celia Johnson) on one side and tempestuous partier Nita (Yvonne De Carlo) on the other, St. James can't lose. But what if the women want lives different from the ones they lead?
