Synopsis:
A brilliant and bourgeois lawyer (Kad Merad), finding himself unable to tell a lie after a health scare, hits the road in vagabond clothing for a series of adventures all across France, for this musical fantasy “mise en vie” by 86-year-old writer/director Claude Lelouch, the 75th film in a feature career that began with A Man and a Woman.  A sequel of sorts to Lelouch’s 1974 classic La Bonne Année, with Merad and half-sister Sandrine Bonnaire (star of Varda’s Vagabonde and Chabrol’s La Cerémonie) as offspring of the earlier film’s Lino Ventura, with Françoise Fabian in the role she played 50 years earlier.
